The list goes on... But, before you donate, check the Better Business Bureau's website to make sure the charity is legit and use your $avings for a good cause!
Some soup kitchens will take donations and make the gift "receiver" the sponsor for a day. In Florida I gave a $75 donation in my mother's name, and they had a sign saying she was the sponsor that day. She absolutely loved that gift.
