Napa and Sonoma Wine Tasting for Free!

Just mention wine, and most Americans think of Napa and Sonoma.  Tastings tend to be more expensive in these world famous regions than in other parts of California, such as the Santa Cruz Mountains, Paso Robles, and Santa Barbara.  Since I live in one of the largest wine regions in the world, accounting for nearly 90% of the United State's wine production, I wanted to use this post to share with you some wineries that offer free or cheap tastings, as well as some offering winery tours.  Cheers!

  1. We visited Lake Sonoma Winery back in 2007. The staff were head on. The wine selection was topnotch. My favorites would be the Pinot Noir and the Sauvignon Blanc. The only downside was they were really trying to make us buy cases of wine. We bought two cases in the end, so it was all good. Thanks for sharing this list, by the way! This is perfect for my annual wine tasting trip. :)

    1. So glad you found it useful! I hope the wineries gave you a discount for buying a case! (Or at least give you free tastings!) Hope you get to come back and enjoy again soon!
