Student $avings


Even if you aren't planning on traveling far from home, student discounts are very common within the USA.  Most movie theaters offer student tickets, as do many gyms, museums, art performances (same-day "rush tickets" at deeply discounted prices), ski passes, online retailers, car insurance, clothing shops, food, and more!  If a student discount isn't listed, always make sure to ask!  I've learned the worst that can happen is being told "no." Even if you're no longer a student, there are still discounts to be had through alumni connections. Many car insurance companies offer an alumni association discount to members.
